i really enjoy the manhua of all those stories but the donghuas were just.... a turn off(?)(idk maybe just me). i mean the source materials are great but they did the adaptation when their animation technology and style were not mature enough. so i find them kinda strange....just my opinion.

This is the reason that I love this donghua more that the others. The MC doesnt try to be like a type of person who saves everyone cause he knows himself and his abilities. Han Li is not to blame, he was ordered by a late stage core cultuvator to hurry up and run. I mean it is not a joke. Han Li rarely gets a plot armor. The first time he got it was from his senor when he joined the sect, so when you dont have a plot armor, why not make it yourself *Han Li running formation)*.

First time he gets plot armor is when he obtains the Green Bottle.
Then he has the most terrible Ultimate that must not be mentioned but I'm gonna tell you anyways: 韩跑跑 aka Run Han Li Run!

MC's Ultimate lets him outrun people that are 100x stronger than him.

I mean he basically exploited everyone. He didnt try go show off and throw sth at the antagonist cause he knew that they will find out and he will be pursued too. That is why some people survived in wars. They didnt aimlessly run through everything rather they wanted to stay alive.

Holy shii, this fight is freaking intense!! I was scared for the woman teacher the whole time, heart almost beat out my chest smh. But gah damn she's a strong a$$ woman no doubt, she looked like she wasn't even fazed, always keeping her composure, she's so bada$$ and skilled, I'm loving her!! Hopefully she's able to get away (if not for the students maybe), I have a feeling the MC will go back and help her (betraying his own principles especially not putting himself in unnecessary danger like his last fight), if he doesn't then R.I.P. miss

It has been longed established that Hong Fu is a Core Formation Late Stage and the two Red-Pink Skull Couple were introduced as Core Formation Middle stages.

Each substage is about twice as strong as previous. If Hong Fu had not sustained injuries in the war and no time to recover plus before they fight, she had expend large amount of power to maintain the shield against the Sky Fire Spell. You can see from the Foundation Stage Disciples who use both hands quickly staggers and switch to 1 hand, even Hong Fu herself staggered 1 step.

Exception is Han Li, from the fact that when trouble brews, he was the first to get close to Hong Fu and the fact that he use 1 hand throughout the whole shield process, we know that he has activated the most terrible Ultimate that must not be mentioned but I'm still gonna mention it anyway: 韩跑跑 aka Run Han Li Run!

I believe they portrayed the han li character very good. Always conscience, wait and see, and likes to run away every time. Would rather prefer the han li design in the trailer 5 years ago than this pretty boy design.

True. Han Li was not supposed to be handsome. If anything he was average, although higher levels of certain cultivation arts improves his looks somewhat, but he is still not there yet at this point in the storyline.

But one thing is for sure, han li supposed to have a darker skin tone varying from light tan to light bronze, not pale skin tone. Another thing is, in my preference, a more masculine feature not delicate pretty boy.

True that. Definitely not the very refined "pretty boy" looks. Its funny, there is one other donghua where the mc is supposed to be super-ridiculously handsome right from day one, but they made his 3D character avatar fairly ordinary. lol its the opposite of Fan Ren. And one more thing...although I am not sure if I remember correctly as this sort of thing happens in multiple stories, but didn't Han Li's darker "farmers" complexion start to become lighter as his cultivation grew powerful?

The donghua has a different view from the novel, like how han li joined the martial arts sect when he was a teen, but novel says when he was 10. Donghua shows han li to be from a farmer family and only had parents and a little sister. Novel says han li has brothers sisters and uncles, where his uncle introduced him to the sect, not sure if they are farmers but most likely and his uncle also owns a restaurant. But one thing is for sure, han li remained ordinary and dark skin through out his cultivation process.

He comes from a farming family and yes, he's supposed to be average looking.
